SUMMARY: The Network Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and planning associated with integrated network platforms, systems software and hardware.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstallation and Implementation

• Install, and analyze computers, servers, laptops, desktops, printers, and monitors
• Installs and maintains all network equipment including, hubs, routers, twisted pair wiring, fiber optic connectors, CD/ROM towers, tape drives, modems, and UPS
• Set priorities for assigned projects and tasks
• Act as a resource or lead on multiple technical projects.Troubleshooting
• Research and provide solutions to user problems
• Troubleshoot computers, servers, laptops, desktops, printers, and monitors
• Provide end user support for installed applications in local and remote offices
• Create technical and user documentation for network environment
• Maintain client connectivity to enterprise AS/400
• Record and track Help Desk requests and time spent resolving issuesKNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
• 1 years experience in Network Administration and PC troubleshooting
• MCP, I-Net+, certification a plus.
• Experience with Windows 2000 Active Directory and/or Internet Infrastructure NT.Skills/Abilities
• Familiar with network protocols, specifically TCP/IP and Ethernet
• Familiar with network topologies, specifically 10 Base T, 100 Base T, Frame Relay.
• Familiar with Windows 98, NT, 2000, and XP workstations including commands
• Familiar with office automation applications, specifically Microsoft Office
• Familiar with network devices and network cabling techniques.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot PC hardware and software.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills and math skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills such as teamwork, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
